Mexican Fritillary (Euptoieta hegesia meridiania)

| Caterpillar Hostplants | Yellow Alder (Turnera sp.), Fetid Passionflower (Passiflora foetida), a native that is not often found in nurseries. I have also raised this species on our native Blue Passionvine or Maypops (Passiflora incarnata). It no doubt would use other Passifloras as well. |

Sighting Locations | Has occasionally been found in Tarrant County. | 
| Seasonal Flight Data | A stray, not to be expected until summer. | 
| General Notes | A rare stray into North Texas. |
