Ocola Skipper (Panoquina ocola)

Caterpillar HostplantsLocally, Rice Cut Grass (Leersia oryzoides). Rice (Oryza sativa), Sugar Cane (Saccharum officinarum), and Trompetilla grass (Hymenachne amplexicaulis) are also recorded. Since none of these species are common in the Dallas area it remains to be discovered what other grass species the Ocola Skipper is using as a host.
