 Carolina Satyr (Hermeuptychia sosybius)

Caterpillar HostplantsGrasses. In other parts of its range it has used a species of carpet grass in the genus Axonopus. Our own species, Common Carpet Grass (Axonopus fissifolius) might also be utilized. In captivity, females have oviposited on St. Augustine (Stenotaphrum secundatum) and Kentucky Bluegrass (Poa pratensis) and may use these in nature as well. Needs further study.
